Guiding Principles

Building inclusive spaces that prioritize welcoming and psychological safety while minimizing harm, is a challenge we are all facing. To help ensure that our efforts are meaningful and impactful, many in the community are committed to a shared set of beliefs, based on these four specific guiding principles:

  1. Tech is Not Neutral, Nor is it Apolitical
  2. Intention without Strategy is Chaos
  3. Lack of Inclusion is a Risk/Crisis Management Issue
    …and lastly and most importantly
  4. Prioritize the Most Vulnerable
